The Storm Didn't Win

There was a season of my life when I truly believed the weight of everything would take me under.

The grief.

The betrayal.

The fear.

The exhaustion of trying to hold together a life that was quietly falling apart behind closed doors.

Some storms don’t just pass through your life. They change you. They strip things down to the barest parts of who you are. They expose what was real, what was broken, and what can no longer be carried into the next chapter, and if I’m honest, there were moments I wondered if I would ever fully feel like me again.

But healing has a strange way of happening.

Not all at once.

Not loudly.

Not in the dramatic ways we expect.

Sometimes healing looks like sitting quietly at the shoreline after years of surviving, and realizing your heart finally feels calm enough to breathe.

Somewhere between the waves, the prayers, the tears, and the rebuilding, I found pieces of myself I thought were gone forever.

Not the old version of me.

Not the woman who only knew how to survive.

But someone softer.

Stronger.

Wiser.

More honest.

More rooted.

The storm didn’t destroy me.

It revealed me, and somewhere along the shoreline, by the grace of God, I found myself again.

Maybe that’s the encouragement you need today too.

The storm you’re walking through may feel endless right now. The grief may feel heavy. The rebuilding may feel slow, but survival is not the end of your story.

God still restores.

He still heals.
He still brings beauty from places that once looked ruined.

One day, you may look back and realize the very thing that almost broke you became the place where He rebuilt you stronger, deeper, and more rooted than before.

Hold on.
Even here, grace is still finding you.

"Amazing grace! How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost, but now am found..." 🤍
