SEASONS AND GROWTH

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the driveway wasteland” –Isaiah 43:19

There’s something about the moment a season shifts.

You can feel it before you fully see it.

The air softens.

The light lingers a little longer.

What once felt still begins to move again.

And slowly, almost quietly, life starts to come alive.

Flowers push through ground that looked lifeless.

Trees that stood bare begin to fill again.

Color returns where everything once felt muted.

And every time it happens, it reminds me of something deeper.

We were made to grow.

Not to stay where we’ve been.

Not to live stuck in past seasons.

Not to build our lives around what once was.

But to grow beyond it.

Because if we’re honest, there are seasons in life that feel like winter.

Seasons where things feel stripped down.

Where prayers feel quiet.

Where movement feels slow or nonexistent.

Seasons where you wonder if anything is still growing at all.

But just like nature, growth doesn’t stop just because you can’t see it.

Roots are still forming.

Strength is still building.

God is still working beneath the surface.

And then, without warning, something shifts.

What felt dormant begins to rise.

What felt stuck begins to move.

What felt over begins to come alive again.

Not the same as before.

But stronger.

Deeper.

More grounded.

Because growth was never meant to keep you where you were.

It was always meant to take you beyond it.

Beyond the pain.

Beyond the waiting.

Beyond the version of you that only knew how to survive.

Into something new.

Something living.

Something whole.

Something that reflects the quiet, faithful work God was doing all along.

So if you find yourself in a season that feels slow or uncertain … Don’t mistake stillness for absence.

Don’t confuse quiet with lack of movement.

And don’t assume that where you are now is where you’ll stay.

Because seasons always shift.

And when they do, you’ll realize you were never stuck.

You were growing. 🌱
